A bit about Carytown Instyle Salon (for a map click here). All of the stylists at this Salon are independent business owners like me. I think you will notice that because we all have our own clientelle, the salon is more relaxed and comfortable. Often times the salon will have very few stylists working. This is because we can all work our own schedules. This benefits you in many ways. First, my schedule is your schedule. I can have the salon open at any time for your benefit. Additionally, I have access to many more haircare products, as I don't have large inventories of products that I feel pressure to push on you.
Of course I have products I like and am familiar with, but if there is a product or line of products you like and would like for me to have for you, let me know when you schedule or during your consultation, and I'll do my best to get them for you. Maybe you will teach me something about a product!As many of my Richmond clients know, Deva Curl products are super for all of the Curly Girls, so I will try to have them available for your appointments if you need them. Additionally, I have a record of all of your prior services and product purchases if you were with me before, so I will have the information I need to have the supplies and products for your appointment.
I want your experience to be fun, but don't ever think that I don't take what I do extremely seriously. I take pride in everything that I do and will make sure that we have a clear understanding of what you want before we begin. If I am not clear about what you want, I will not start. I will also not perform a service that I think will hurt your hair, even if it is what you want.
If you are not satisfied, you will not pay, and I will make it right for free. I mean it!
Due to the independent low overhead operations of my business I can offer my services at a significantly lower cost than at my former salon. The services and rates are as follows:

Thanks for visiting. If you are not familiar with me, I was a very busy Stylist at Imago Salon in Richmond, VA for many years. My true love for many years has been performing all types of color artistry on my Richmond area clients. I am one of a very select few ABCH board certified hair colorists in the area, and I am also a Regional Educator for the Keune hair cosmetics company. There is no question about it, I love coloring hair!! Whether you want subtle, or way out, I can do it all. I am also extremely careful to process your hair as gently as possible. I will turn down business before I will trash your hair, or do a color I wouldn't trust that you would like.
Many of my current Richmond clients will also tell you that I love cutting hair as well. I trained extensively at the American Crew Men's Haircutting Academy in Colorado for men's haircutting. I an I have attended the famous Tony and Guy Academy in New York as well as the Graham Webb Academy many times and am up to date with the latest trends in haircutting styles and techniques for the ladies.
I also want to let all of you know that I will alway consider your time valuable. Ask my clients, and they will tell you that I stay on time, and allow plenty of time for your required service. I would rather make less money then have all of the stress associated with rushed appointments. To help with proper scheduling, all color services for new clients require a free consultation. These consultations take very little time, but you cannot properly schedule color services without them. Additionally, you can trust that I will be there when you arive for your appointment. I am habitually early, and I literally have not missed a scheduled day in years! I'm not kidding.
It has now been over a year at Carytown Instyle and things have been great! Having the scheduling freedom and relaxed environment has been great for me and my clients. I really do love what I do, and make it a professional and fun experience.
